Independent City of Emporia

The Independent City of Emporia hosts roughly 4.7 miles of the Atlantic Circuit Trail, of which only 0.7 are classified as off-road. The route includes a half-mile stretch along the scenic Meherrin River. Shops, restaurants and inns are available for trail users to rest and resupply. A mile stretch follows an active railroad corridor, please exercise caution.
